Serampore Girls College

To provide Computer Training to our college students at affordable cost, Serampore Girls’ College opened a Computer Training Centre and started a certificate course from January, 2018. The purpose is to make the college girls computer literate as most of the girls come from rural and semi-urban places of the district with no previous knowledge of computer related works.

The computer centre named as “Serampore Girls’ College Youth Computer Training Centre” is run by Serampore Girls’ college in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services And Sports, Government of West Best Bengal.

Certification

Department of Youth services and Sports, Government of West Bengal provides the certificate to the candidates after the successful completion of the course.

About Course

We initially started a Six months Certificate Course named “Certificate in Information Technology and Application (CITA)” in collaboration with Department of Youth Services and Sports under Government of West Bengal.

Capacity

Serampore Girls’ College Language Lab has the capacity to provide training to 30 students at a time.

Syllabus & Examination

The World famous organization Hewlett Packard Enterprise India Pvt. Ltd. has framed the syllabus of this course and entrusted upon to conduct the entire system of online examination after completion of syllabus and evaluation thereof as third party involvement in assessment.

Outcome of the Course

After completing the Certificate course successfully, the students

possess the knowledge to use the softwares under MS Office which will be helpful inr their future study.

are eligible to do the basic computer related office work .i.e., preparation of letter, reports and other study materials using MS Word, preparation of bills and accounts using MS Excel., preparation of seminar presentation using MS Power point, emails etc.
