The career counselling cell is an important wing of Serampore Girls’ College. In order to shape the bright future of the students, the main focus of this unit is to create awareness among students regarding available career options and help them identify career objectives. The cell also provides information about various courses of higher study within and outside the country. The cell frequently organises workshops and seminars by resource persons coming from various institutions along with college teachers for current and outgoing students to generate awareness for different competitive examinations about various government and private jobs and higher studies, their eligibility criteria, syllabuses, and many more. The cell collaborates with different government and private institutions to create a strong industry-academic interface in order to explore suitable career opportunities for each and every student. The career counselling cell always goes hand in hand with related cells of the college, like the placement cell and the cell for skill development. 

The students are highly enthusiastic to attend seminars and workshops, to take guidance from career counselling cell.
