Medicinal garden visit- Semester V

Description

This program is mandatory for semester 5 as it was mentioned in their syllabus so 6 students of semester 5 participated in this program but students of 3rd and 1st semesters also intersed to take part in the visit.

We started our journey from our college with total 13 students.

The event was guided by Dr. Madhusree Halder, Department of Botany, Serampore Girls' College.

 

Objective

  • Medicinal garden visit is a compulsory part of B.Sc Botany (General) degree course of semester V under CBCS curriculum.
  • The aim is giving students a proper idea of medicinal plants, their uses and information about maintenance of the garden.

Outcome

  • Students of semester V took part enthusiastically to fulfil our goal, they experienced different practical facts regarding methods of use of medicinal plants and specifically parts of plants used for different diseases.
