The local excursion was organanized by Department of Botany  at Chinsurah,Hooghly. 4 students of semester 2 participated in the event. Local excursion is mandatory for semester II for completion of their syllabus.

This type of tour is organized to aware students about local plants, to know their scientific background and give them practical knowledge about collection, identification of wild angiosperms and preparation of herbarium specimen.

Students of semester II took part enthusiastically to fulfil our goal, they learned about different groups of angiosperms, their habit, and habitat, beneficial or harmful effects on environment.
