Study tour for heritage awareness

Description
A study tour to The Governor’s House, Serampore& Museum was organised for the students of the Department of English on 12 APRIL 2023 at 1 pm. Most of the students of all semesters along with their teachers participated in thec programme.
Objective
- To make the students aware of the Danish Colonial settlement at Serampore
- To raise the interest of the students inunderstanding colonial history and ancient history of India
- To make learning delightful
Outcome
- The study tour to the Governor’s House enriched our students immensely in an interdisciplinary way and the teachers benefitted no less than them.
- The students were enriched by the introductory lecture of Mr MohitRanadip, a member of Serampore Heritage Restoration Initiative(SHRI)
- The tour was enjoyable for all. Sharing and learning have a different flavour of its own.
- The students were acquainted with the rich educational and cultural heritage of Serampore
