Lecture on Abol Tabol of Sukumar Ray and Release of E-Magazine.

An offline Extension Lecture Programme was held on 18.12.2001. A total of 68 students from all three existing semesters (sem 1,3 and 5) attended the programme. Some of the former students of the department were also present in the programme. The talk titled "Abol Tabol of Sukumar Ray" was delivered by Dr Sandip Mondal, Associate Professor, Department of English, University of Calcutta. The Extension Lecture Programme was followed by the release of an e-magazine prepared by the students of the department.
1. To enrich our students more on the text that is there in their CBCS syllabus.
2. To augment the interest of the students in academic engagements.
3. To instill in our students a greater amount of research interest.
4. To help our students develope their co-curricular skills.
1. The students were enriched by the lecture as they were introduced to different perspectives of 'Nonsense Verse,' a part of their Honours course.
2. The articles, drawings, poems and other contributions of the students in the e-magazine were highly appreciated. The designing of the e-magazine was also praiseworthy.
