Description

The Departments of Bengali, Sociology, and Political Science at Serampore Girls' College  jointly hosted a two-day international seminar on  December 19-20, 2024. The event featured keynote speakers and paper presentations, exploring the intersections of language, literature, society, and governance with diverse participants.

Objective

Foster interdisciplinary dialogue on contemporary societal issues via Bengali literature, sociology, and political science; exchange research, and identify new collaborative research avenues.

Outcome

The seminar successfully facilitated rich academic exchange, deepening understanding of societal issues through interdisciplinary lenses. It fostered new networks and research collaborations, while providing valuable exposure and inspiring critical thinking among college students.
