This report provides a foundational overview of the history of Bengali literature, tailored for 3rd-semester students. It traces the evolution of Bengali literary traditions from their earliest known forms to significant modern developments. Key periods and their defining characteristics, including the Charyapada, Mangalkavya, Vaishnava Padavali, and the emergence of modern prose and poetry, will be explored. The report aims to introduce students to seminal figures, influential works, and the socio-cultural contexts that shaped Bengali literary expression over centuries.

Objective:

• To assess students' knowledge of the historical development of Bengali literature.
• To encourage students to learn more about Bengali literary figures and works.

• Assessment: It evaluated students' understanding of the subject matter. The quiz likely included questions about different eras, prominent figures, and genres of Bengali literature.
