On 14th December, 2021, the department held an open house day for 1st  semester  students with honours. For this, a questionnaire was prepared by the teachers  to understand the general description of the teaching learning process , departmental activities from  the student, and interaction was carried out between the teachers and the students.

The Open House aims to challenge, redefine and improve the way students perceive departmental activities and programs as part of their daily life. An open house can be one of the brightest and most interesting ways for teachers to get to know their students. An open house can encourage and strengthen collaboration between students and teachers throughout the year. This can improve the understanding and appreciation of education; explain the university program; increase the appreciation of students to your department; and reveal students needs, achievements and problems. 

 

Open house offers a holistic after-school learning experience to students. It  is a redefining with active and engaging online and offline classes and discuss the experience of the students, Dr. Asraful Alam (HoD) conducted this programme. They explained questions and communicate openly with students so that they can express their concerns, needs and opinions without fear. There was a positive response found among students.

I heard from senior students that they study well in this college and their practicals are very well taught. All teachers helps a lot. I am very proud to be a student of Srirampur Girls College.I am now a sixth semester student and I don't understand how these three years went by in college. I had a great time in college and the teachers have increased my interest in studying.

I started to love geography when I took geography after high school. I started thinking that I would study geography and I heard from many that we have a very good geography department in our college, so I fell in love with geography more and more. I will study in this college and coming to this college has taught me to know the teachers better for which I have learned to love geography more now. I have learned a lot of unknown information through geography and I have been able to update myself a lot

Practical theory is interesting from both sides. It is very interesting that we can recognize the world through different types of projections. Now we are doing remote sensing GIS image classification. There are many geographies in different parts of the world. This is a very interesting subject
