The idea of an extension lecture programme is meant to provide the students with a different point of view on their text within the syllabus. Eminent resource persons are invited in the department to deliver Extension lectures on various geographical research perspectives.

The department invited lecturer Dr. Chandan Sarkar Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, P.N. Das college, Palta who delivered a lecture on “Research Methodology in Geography” .who delivered a lecture on 16th December 2021 “. The lecture continued for two hours

                        To improve the subject knowledge of students in an attractive way.

·                  To promote better social, natural, and intellectual knowledge among the students.

·                  To help students with more in-depth study of the topic.

• Through the extension lectures the students were able to prepare better for the university final examination.
• It gives a vivid picture of the topic related to the syllabus.
