The department invited lecturer Chandrani Roy, an Assistant Professor of Serampore College who delivered a lecture on “Coral Reef Formation ”on 19.09.2019. The lecture continued for two hours.

• The lecture was very informative as it dealt with the various aspects of coral reef formation, their worldwide distribution, and the recent threat of coral reefs to climate change. Assistant Professor Chandrani Roy clears all doubt about this topic.
• Through the extension lectures the students were able to prepare better for the university final examination.
• It gives a vivid picture of the topic related to the syllabus.
