Description

Serampore Girls College organised two day National seminar on self reliance (atmanirbhar), sustainable development and environment sponsored by ICSSR-ERC(Ministry of Education Govt of India) and organised by department of Geography ,Serampore Girls College. The programme was conducted for two days- 25 and 26 th March,2022 , Dr. Sudipta roy Honorable MLA of  serampore and president of governing body serampore girls college was the chief patron of this endeavour. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Soma Roy ,patron and principal of Serampore Girls College in the presence of esteemed guest and convenor Dr Asraful Alam HoD, Geography with watering plant as an symbolic gesture.

Objective

Basic objectives of the Seminar are:
a) To make awareness about the concept of sustainable development and self reliance (Atmanirbhar) among the stakeholders.
b) To frame guidelines for an appropriate sustainable development, self reliance and environmental management policy at local, regional level this would be suitable for the India.
c) To revel the different aspects of self reliance (Atmanirbhar) and sustainable resource management at grass root level.
