Speaker: Smriti Samanta

The speaker for the session was Smriti Samanta she was a ex-students of our department. She pursued her M.sc from Calcutta University. Our teacher introduced her with our new students. She explained to her fellow friends how to prepare for the India examination and the entrance procedure of CU She suggested varied ways that how to opt for a career in one’s life depending on the capabilities and potential. She talked about how to focus on the chosen career and what efforts to put in to make that dream true. She also shared her future plan as a PhD researcher. The students cleared their doubts by asking various questions regarding the confusion, they usually face while deciding their career, entrance procedures, preparation methods, and books suggestion.

Alumni answered question of students regarding preparations for placements and how they should face interviews.

 

1. To interact with the Alumnus for the significance lies in their distinct characteristics, formation processes, and implications for sediment transport, ecology, and landform development

2. To motivate ours students in choose Morphology as special paper and investigate the river channels.

 

The event was stimulating and enjoyable and simultaneously profitable as she shared her views idea and good numbers of new ideas, information and insights came up.It builds a good bonding between ours pasts and presents.
